2011 unfortunately didn't start out the best for us as we lost The Bottom Drawers Store Mascot and number one sales assistant Milly the Boxer Dog over Christmas. She is sadly missed by everybody and we've had many of our regulars and their children wondering why she hasn't been here to offer her friendly lick 'hello' with her ridiculously long tongue. RIP Milly xxx
January as usual has been very busy as we are open everyday for trading during January. The overcast days we've had have been ideal Antiquing days and we've certainly noticed many familys and tourists out and about checking out our goodies.
The very average Australia Day weather brought people out in droves, with browsers and buyers everywhere with many deciding the weather wasn't ideal for the usual BBQs and lounging on the beach.
We've also had a new container load of Japanese Antiques and collectables arrive this week. My daughter Lily has had fun trying on the Authentic Antique Geisha wigs. Their last container load of treasures sold very quickly so we're very excited to get more surprises arrive in to offer our collectors and designers. They have a stunning array of Kimonos and Antique Kokeshi Dolls so come in and have a peek.
